Title: D Can Stand for Lots of Things (Faces of Death & Dream)
Medium: Pen & Ink
Future Plans: Maybe some Photoshop work, totally blacking out the inks.

This was inspired by Neil Gaiman's legendary comic book series, Sandman, an extremely
deep piece of fantasy literature. It seems like must've seen a strange looking ad (even by Sandman
standards) for Sandman using these really chibi-like characters. Or maybe I had an original idea
idea, I don't know. Either way, I really liked the idea. Something about two of the most definitively
gothic personalities out there being drawn in this child-like style just looks impossibly cute. Especially
Death.(on the right). A lot of people were surprised that it's Death on the right, but in Sandman she's a
really upbeat, outgoing people person. Known to give really great big hugs. Really friendly, once you
get to know her. And at some point, everybody gets to know her.
